Student Book Review: Jalen’s review of Bud, Not Buddy, by Christopher Paul Curtis

Standard

Bud, Not Buddy

by Christopher Paul Curtis

Bud, Not Buddy is about a boy who is homeless, but has lived in a orphanage and a foster home. Even though he’s alone at a young age and not with his family, Bud was brave, had a positive attitude, and never gave up. There is not one thing that I didn’t like I liked it all.

I would recommend this book if you like adventure and a story about growing up in the 1930’s. Reading this book made me glad that I have a home and a loving family to take care of me.

This student book review was written by Jalen, a Johnson Elementary School student. Jalen is in the fourth grade.
